Since I begrudgedly played D&D 3rd edtion I have lots of the books - has anyone done any conversion stuff for the mosters?
Can anyone tell me how to convert my 3.5 monsters to C&C?
I figure that the spells and magic items would just port over but I would like some confirmation on that from someone who has tried.
I just did a huge order of all the Zagyg stuff (including the Upper Works which I pre-ordered and hope will be out at Gen Con - though I can't go)
I am sorry if this has been asked lots of times but I figure you must all know this by now.
Any ideas as to when we will see the Castle Keepers Guide?

Personally, I find some of the methodology of the proposed linked system (the one used for the Goodman DCCs) missing or altering components, so it basically comes down to this -- do you want quick and dirty (ie, playable) or do you want "exact and precise?" I lean toward playable. The other cannot be done, since there is no formula, despite what people want to believe -- and, I'd know.
CKG will be out when its out -- no one knows when.
You're right though: these questions come up all the time.

The CKG may be out by the end of the year. That's what Steve is focusing on after Gen Con if my facts are straight. The conversion that Robert linked to is as good as any and works well enough to make things playable. As he stated, there is no exact formula for precise conversions from D20 to C&C but this will do (I've used the system before and it worked out well).

You could certainly run it either way but, by the M&T, damage immunity works like 2e with characters needing a +2 weapon or better to hit a vampire for example.
For my own games, I tend to change this around depending on the type of campaign I'm running and how much magic is to be found. I've also given some of my own monsters 3e style damage reduction as I feel it works better for some beasties.
