Does this sound like okay names for a calendar?

Its my first time designing my own campaign.
I could really use some advice, if you were a player reading a calendar for the first time, what would you think of the names of the months?

Well, as a player, my first response would be: what do they mean?
Otherwise, some of them sound "orcish," and some sound melismatic.

I'd respond with the idea that using the base of our real calendar's initial letters to allow players to remember them better is ok, but I think Serl's point on meaning is more appropriate - you know, decide the origins of the names rather than just assigning names. I realize the thing you are looking for is PC's ability to use these without reverting to "well, it's like June..."
In my world I simplified from 12 to six 60's day "seasons" - Aferfrost (Jan/Feb), "Springfest" (March/April), "Growfar" (May/June), "Altherthyme" (July/August), "Windmarch" (Sept/Oct), and "Reckoning" (Nov/Dec).

This is a calendar I came up with for a homebrew.
Names of the Days
Irsdae (First day)
Ecndae (Second day)
Irdae (Third day)
Estdae (Rest day)
Fifdae (Fifth day)
Sithdae (Sixth day)
Olidae (Holy day)
Names of the Months
Irsmoth (First month): 1 Irsmoth is the Spring Equinox and First day of the year.
Ecnmoth (Second month): Spring
Irdmoth (Third month): Spring
Orrmoth (Fourth month): 1 Orrmoth is the Summer Solstice.
Fifmoth (Fifth month): Summer
Sithmoth (Sixth month): Summer
Evnmoth (Seventh month): 1 Evnmoth is the Autumn Equinox.
Eetmoth (Eighth month): Autumn
Ninmoth (Ninth month): Autumn
Tethmoth (Tenth month): 1 Tethmoth is the Winter Solstice.
Ellmoth (Eleventh month): Winter
Twelmoth (Twelfth month): Winter

I have to agree with Serleran with this one...
The names of our own Calendar are derived from various sources... many classical or historical.
July... for Julius Cesar
August... for Augustus the successor to Julius Cesar
Januray... for the god Janus
even in French:
Mars (March)... which if you now your Roman Mytholgy is more than just a planet! (the Roman Equivalent to Ares)
Same things goes for the days of the week... Each one has a their roots behind the names.
This presents an awesome opportunity to color this backdrop and tie it in with other elements of your campaign by using the smallest details to enrich it even further...
As for the name themselves... as they are... they sound pretty cool... but if not orcish... some sound definately Klingon!!
