Hello all,
I have had the C&C rules for about a month now, and I am gearing up to start a campaign for my gaming group. I have a few things in mind for the game, and I am considering going with a different magic system than what is presented in the Players Handbook. I was curious if there are alternate rules out there for spell casting? I would like to introduce alchemy to the game, so any ideas for that would be welcome as well. If anyone has a homebrew magic system please share.
On another note, I have also recently purchased the new RuneQuest rules, and I kind of like the way their rune magic system works. Has anyone come up with anything similar, or perhaps even a conversion?
Thanks,
Mangus
Alternate spell casting rules
I just got the Runequest books too, so I know what you mean.
I created a Runemark class for my C&C game and the character is currently 5th level. Not seriously different than a standard spellcaster, but diferent enough to be truly different, if you get what I mean.
As for alternative magic systems there may be stuff on cncplayer.net

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Serleran,
Thanks for the heads up. I have been checking your stuff out for a while now. I do like some of the house rules you have out there, and the tattoo magic is also interesting. While I am at it let me just thank you for all the cool things you have put on the net for others to share. That is one thing that really attracts me to C&C. The community is so giving and helpful.
Good work everyone! 8)
