Treasure Dispersal

Hello all our online group has been talking about treasure dispersal and how it takes too much time and so on.
I came up with several ideas on how to do it and this is the one I like the best as it has the best shot at being fair,
Please read it and if you would comment on it and tell me wether you think it is fair or rubbish and why...
Also if you could say what your group does
Its called:
Loot Dispersal
And finally - This is Pretty simple Characters get a Pick of treasure from Lowest to highest based on thier total Loot Value ( all treasure (coins, gems, jewlery, deeds etc) and Magics -gained during the current adventure). The Person with the lowest amount picks first, the second lowest and so on.
DURING THE FIRST Session players all roll a D20 for the first treasure trove. Highest roll goes first.
For example ( Not based on Fact at all) - the gold Piece value attatched to each characters name is only for this Adventure and Only this Adventure
It includes all Gold, and Jewlery and Magic items acquired during the current Adventure (Players may still take more coin in place of treasure - in the hopes to buy a specific item, build a temple or go to Under Worlds Fair on Vacation)
Erlcer 26422 gp value in money and 40,000gp in Magic items 62422
Ethrin 12,000 gp money 70,000 in magic 82,000
Nazir 30,000 in money 12000 in magic 42,000
Camile 40,000 in monies and 5000 in magic 45,000
Damocles 35000 in money and 35000 in magic 70,000
So the next tresure trove we hit, the order of picking treasure would be
Nazir
Camile
Erlcer
Damocles
Ethrin
After the treasure is divided (ie the fictional treasure trove above) the totals have changed.
IMPORTANT CLAWS err I mean CLAUSE:
Please note that a character can toss an item back into the pot if they want to. Not charged items but real magic items.
When this is done the CK asks the group if there is anyone that wants the item in question - if there is no one then the character cannot do it... if there is then the character can and the CK subtracts the value of the item from the player and adds the item to the Loot table.
The character that got rid of the item can only be moved to second pick- never to first pick in this way.
Example
Damocles has the Flaming Do-Dad of Icy and Necrotic Doom on Hobbits item and he just does not use it or he sees an item in the trove he really wants, but he is Dead last for picking .
He asks the CK if he can toss the aforementioned item back into the pot ... and Seeing as Nazir who notoriously hates Hobbits says he is intrested in the item the CK allows it.
The item is worth a cool 100,000 gp and after subtracting the value of the item from Damocles' Loot total (275,000 - 100.000 gp = 175,000gp) it makes Damocles the member of the group with the least gold value.
Even though Damocles has less value than all the other Players he still only moves to 2nd Pick.
Any way - I really feel that the above way is the fairest and the easiest way to go about it.
