Some Quickie NPCs

I just spent about 15 seconds with my NPC Generator and got these guys (it outputs to a text file, so I can cut and paste them). The "real / registered" symbol means "Prime." Didn't get any spellcasters, it seems...

Oh, and the "Ivory Half-Orc Figurine" is a reference to a character I had in C&C who was a half-orc and had such a thing commissioned as he could not make it himself. Out of the all the times I have tried this application, that is the first time it has ever appeared... funny it showed up for a half-orc!

Is there anyway to modify the magic items "allowable" within the program? Or is it entirely random, from class level to what is rolled for it's possessions?

After the application creates them, you can modify the result, because it outputs as a text file. However, I had been working on it actually pulling things from a text file (a data file) to generate from, rather than having everything 'hard coded' as it is now (this would also allow a person to add or modify what is available)... so, not within the application, currently. It bases on level, and uses class to determine some possible things (that is, you probably won't get scrolls of spells if you're a fighter). But, this was done in QuickBASIC which is like 20+ years old, so, it has some limits (for example, I can't run it within Windows -- I have to emulate DOS to use it,) and, I don't exactly remember all the little tricks I once did.

I don't think you'll be able to run it on XP Service Pack 3 or Vista without DOS emulation.

Sorry I didn't see tis earlier! I'll definitely take you up on this offer, there are several "DOS" programs I would like to be able to run. I'll PM you when I think I will be able to make a reliable appointment.

Strange, since it had originally been written on a machine (that did not have DOSBox installed since I had no access to the internet to get it) with XP SP2 installed... so, you might have the latest service pack on there, which modified some things about architecture handling, apparently. Anyway, I could help get it up and working, if you really needed it.

I've got an old one from D&D3.5 that I've been using mostly. So no emergency or nuthin'.
