RC Weapons Mastery in C&C...

I do not agree that shield "must" be added as a weapon mastery since many of them are not weapons -- they are purely defense mechanisms. As such, there should be an "offense mastery" and a "defense mastery" where a character could opt, per selection, for either... this means, for example, Bubba the Bold could be a Swordmaster, so skilled he cannot be touched... he sucks at actually attacking, though.

Well, for one thing clerics don't have an advantage necessarily over fighters in making saves since SIEGE is used for C&C.

I do recommend using a slot for shields just because they can be used to better effect. I'm on Mrs.Charlie's PC or I'd post what the bonus we use for shields is. It grants save bonus to certain effects as well as other stuff. It's not mandatory but pretty nice. A good alternative to dual wielding.

That's an option we use for anybody though and it is just a trade off of to-hit bonus and AC bonus. Usually a +2/-2 but sometimes a +5/-5 or even +7/-7. Come to think of it I guess we should have limited that option to only if you were using a weapon you had some skill in ,huh.
