Nameing all the new classes

Post by Ace of Swords »

Mental exercise i came up with for use with the class and a half stuff from the 4th print PHB.

I know some really shouldnt work together, but its mainly a whimsical work in progress.

New name, main class, and half class

Templar, Paladin, cleric

Inquisitor, Paladin, Assassin

Redeemer, Cleric, Paladin

Hassasshin, Assassin, cleric

Battlemage, Wizard, Fighter

Mageblade, Wizard, Fighter

Hedgemage, Druid, Wizard

Naturalist, Druid, Ranger

Bandit, Fighter, Thief

Swindler, Thief, Illusionist

Zealot, Cleric, Fighter

Mystic, Monk, Wizard

Witch Doctor, Cleric, Wizard

Shaman, Druid, Cleric

Diviner, Cleric, Illusionist

Pathfinder, Ranger, Druid

Guide, Ranger, Rogue

Scout, Rogue, Ranger

Duelist, Fighter, Bard

Shadow Knight, Knight, Rogue

Thats all i have so far

To me Guide and Scout are the same as a Ranger/Rogue

Paladin/Cleric should probably be Hospitaller, they started as a Hospital, oddly enough. The Templar was much more, how do you say... Brutal.

I'd think a Templar would be better fitted as a Knight/Paladin.

Zealot to me would be more Cleric/Paladin...

I'd see a Shaman as more Druid/Wizard

Mystic should be Monk/Cleric since Mysticism deal with religion, divinity, etc.

The Inquisitor would be a better fit as Monk/Assassin, now wow that is a deadly combination! Paladin/Assassin doesn't seem to fit as the Inquisitors were definitely not a nice (i.e. Good aligned) set of guys. More over, unless you don't use AL or AL restrictions on classes, the Assassin must be non-good and the Paladin must be LG.

How about

Thug, Thief/Fighter

Spy, Assassin/Bard

Infiltrator, Assassin/Illusionist

(Arch) Mage, Wizard/Illusionist

Sniper, Fighter/Assassin (though granted the weapon specialization is with some sort of missile weapon, and to make it work the sneak attack with ranged weapon would need to be extended)
Stalker, Barbarian/Assassin

Enchanter, Bard/Illusionist

Treasure Hunter, Rogue/Bard

Witch Hunter, Ranger/Assassin

Witch(Warlock), Druid/Wizard or Wizard/Druid I'm torn...

Blackguard, Knight/Assassin
