Does anyone have the Book of Familars? Any challenges to CnC conversion compared to the usual d20 stuff?

The Book of Familairs is filled with d20 stuff obviosuly. According to the TrollLord much of that stuff needs to converted over to C&C for the book to work correctly. I'm paraphrasing his words. Personally, I think you can eliminate most of the d20 stuff that doesn't fit in C&C and do little converting straight over. However, without that d20 stuff perhaps you will lose some flavor. Perhaps that is what TrollLord meant.

I've got the BoF. But honestly I dont use it much for C&C. It has a nice selection on animal stats, and some neat abilities that familiars can use (for a wider variety of familiars). Nothing much different in it then other d20 books (stat wise). So I dont anticipate anyone having trouble converting it. Ifd you do post what part is bothering you and I'll dig mine out and we'll take a look.

It was one of MrsCharlie's favorite d20 books when we played that system. I suppose if she sees a C&C version I'll be getting it.

I don't have it yet, but it intrigued me and I was wondering how much it would help out the druid in my party. He's always angling for an exotic pet.

Well, there is a ton of animal stats in it, and stacks of different abilities for them. And it has feats that allow a PC to call ever more powerful critters to help him. MrsCharlie played a Bard in D&D3 and liked it because it opened up familiars and animal companions to all the classes (just switch it out with an older class ability to stay balanced or whatever).
