Language Rule Clariifcation

By default, do you get all of the languages listed under your race + bonus languages for your Int? Or is it Common + Racial (if any) + bonus languages? Or is it one language by default + bonus languages?

The rules seem pretty ambiguous about this, which is why I am asking for clarification. Thanks!

Race+INT bonus. I also give everyone Common for free, because I don't like dealing with PC's not being able to talk to one another. By the book I think only Humans get Common as a "racial language", probably the half elf too, depending on which lineage they select.

All characters would get common, assuming that the language of the region the character is starting in is common. If the root language was Hiberian, then they would be able to speak Hiberian, common being more of a trade language. In addition, they are able to use all of the languages listed under race. (usually common is among these)

That's the default.

In addition to the above, the character may select one language to learn per INT bonus. These are decided upon at character creation. The character does not get to speak these additional languages immediately at 1st level.

Instead, the character tells the CK which one they are studying and practicing...and the CK approximates an in game timeline for rudimentary use to fluent use...though the character may decide rudimentary is fine and then switch to another language they are allowed.

That's the bonus.

Hope that helps clear the air for ya.

I have somewhat modified the languages that exist in the world, relying more on a collective gathering of similarly themed ones (based on a shared alphabet) such as Aisling (used by fey and illusionists), which has allowed me to reduce the number of languages I need to be concerned with down to around 20, instead of the 100+ that would need to be important if every intelligence species had its own language -- they may, but I don't find that it matters enough in my games to care.
