Society Site Update!

Hi everyone,
I've successfully imported the Squire's Book (The Rolls of the Society) over to the new site Eric has set up at http://castlesandcrusades.ning.com and sent out mass emails and horn blasts on the site...
Be sure to note this: We want to encourage everyone to register to be active Society members at that site! Having registered via my old cncsociety.org page will have you on The Rolls, but doesn't automatically create a ning account on the new site, so you will need to do so if you have previously sent a Society registration in the past. Likewise, I have to do The Squire's book manually, so just registering a new ning account also doesn't automatically add you to The Rolls. It's a bit cumbersome, but just the way of things on that part.
So if you have a ning registration on the site but never got on The Rolls previously, or if you are new joining on the site, you should also send an email to me at:
societysquire AT trolllord DOT com
with your REAL NAME, EMAIL, MOST COMMON BOARD NAME (if applicable), and a SELECTED SOCIETY NAME (should be singular, not a group, a fantasy-style name, Favorite PC name, etc.) so I can add to the Rolls as well.
I have a couple of downloads to transfer over to the new site (Todd Pote's Tome of Diversity, Rigon's Book of the Mind, some Pre-Gens) and then I will be closing that old page for good (once I can figure out how to do so - it's an old Tripod/Lycos domain and they've changed so much it doesn't have a delete domain function - may have to just close account totally and start over with a new domain for my own setting stuff).
The last note is about the Society in general - it really is what we make of it each of us, and the ning site is a good place to tie everything people get going together - better for Con and events announcements, good for blogs and posts about our activities, sharing pics and files. Todd Pote is looking to create the CK idea discussion group that he has posted on here and I think things like that are an excellent way to proceed.
