The Second Proclamation of the Domesday Book

On this, the 18th Day of the Seventh Month of the common year 2008, the Castles & Crusades Society proclaims, once again, a Call to Arms!

Great change and turmoil have marked our realm for some time. As with all times of strife, noble endeavors fell by the wayside as other crusades took their place. Heroes have come and gone, leaders have risen and fallen. We have suffered the death of our beloved King and, for a time, our realm questioned its own purpose and very existence.

And yet, it is out of such times of trouble that purpose is most often rekindled, that a passion to take up the banner lights anew in those who have stood with the realm for so long, and for those who would enter it freshly this day! So on this day we, the members and nobles of the Castles & Crusades Society, do send forth our call to arms once again. After much seeking, the tome that is the Domesday Book has been found and the dust wiped from its cover!

Sadly, the times have not been good to the lists and rolls of our Society's members - some names are illegible, some are known to have moved on to other realms, some took up the banner at a time in which the scholars of the realm merely counted their numbers rather than inscribing their names, as should have rightly been done.

Thus, we send this forth, asking one and all, to add yourself to the rolls of the Domesday Book, and join or rejoin the Crusade that is our Society!

All correspondence should be addressed to the Society Seneschal at:
ccsociety@gmail.com

Please send the following info:

Your real name and e-mail

The name you wish to be known as for the society (could be your name or a selected fantasy or medieval name).

Common message board name(s) - VERY important, as the existing rolls have no matching cross-references for these

The numbers under your "leadership" (number of players in group or groups).

do you play with a live, regular group, online, or combination thereof?

(don't worry, you can join if you are currently not a part of an active game or group - you will simply be an unattached Knight of the realm, but will be listed).

And: what is the general geographic region for your group (Midwest USA, Europe, and so forth?)

All those who are recorded are recorded -- we simply seek more information to assist in future Society activities.
