C&C in MAINE?
Hey all, I'm looking to start or join an RPG group in Central Maine. Naturally, I'd prefer to play C&C! If you live in the Greater Waterville area, contact me in this thread or drop me a PM and let's game on!

Best of luck in your search Zimzerveran, and welcome to the Crusade. Additonally, one of the reasons I posted in your thread was to see where you were playing in Maine. I'm far away to be certain, but love the great state of Maine. Sorry for threadjacking.

I'm in Waterville, actually. There's quite a drought here for gamers. I've registered at numerous player registries and tried to make some contacts here and there, but to no avail. Central Maine is a lot more rural than Southern Maine, so the gamers that are out here are spread out. We do have one game store in town, but they're all about CCG/CMG stuff.

Well then, here's hoping for all the best gaming in rural Maine. May you find a few Crusaders near you. Perhaps you local game store would let you run a demo or three of C&C. That might work to draw in a few players. Plus, you can sell the low-cost fact of Castles & Crusades to the game store if you were interested. You never know.

Yeah, I've thought about that as well. The game store has two, I repeat TWO RPG books for sale: 4E PH & DMG. One copy of each. Also, according to the owner, the vast majority of RPGers that do play there have attitude problems. I'm 35, I want to play with gamers, not people who want to screw around all day and turn each others armor pink, if you get my meaning.

Indeed I do sir. Being only a few years younger then yourself, I have also lost the interest in working to put on a game. With younger, shorter attention span type of crowds you sometimes have to put a lot of work into running your games. I am beyond that point myself for the most part (with the exception of a convention game every now and again).
Perhaps the game store will let you put up a flyer, and those who are interested could contact you. This might cut down on those not truly interested in a classic fantasy RPG game. If the store has a website, perhaps they will let you advertise there in the same fashion.
The only other help I could offer is that to get your fix of some C&C, there was a pretty good amount of it at some convention just recently in New Hampshire. Even the co-author of Castle Zagyg ran a few events there. I can't remember the name of the convention though.
