Love to see "Amazing Adventures in Space"
I've really fallen in love with Amazing Adventures and would love to see a SciFi version. The key, to me, is that AA is almost exactly C&C except for a near-modern pulp era. I can tweak it to play modern, too, with little effort.
Star Siege was always a great concept but (in my opinion) it strayed too far away from the base C&C rules set. When reading Star Siege I always had the feeling that I was learning a new game, but with Amazing Adventures it feels like I've been there before.
I'm kind of hoping that the success of AA will lead to other C&C-compatible game systems.
Just my two coppers.

I think it'd be cool to do a sci-fi sourcebook for AA, covering things like It Came from Outer Space, Flash Gordon, etc.
But I'm not sure what the plans are for StarSIEGE and I don't want to step on the toes for that particular project.

I would like to see it go transdimensional. Something like a Sliders RPG.

Naw, sorry, I have that one. I meant a RPG based on the old TV show called Sliders. Although, there was a TMNT expansion that covers time travel and parallel worlds.

Transdimensional TMNT. Great sourcebook for what was probably Palladium's best game.serleran wrote:Naw, sorry, I have that one. I meant a RPG based on the old TV show called Sliders. Although, there was a TMNT expansion that covers time travel and parallel worlds.

It's my understanding that a new edition of StarSiege is in the works, and that it will be closer to the base C&C rules set. Not sure where that's at, though.finarvyn wrote: Star Siege was always a great concept but (in my opinion) it strayed too far away from the base C&C rules set. Re: Love to see "Amazing Adventures in Space"
AA could address a middle ground. Star Siege seemed to be more of a space opera/Traveller vibe.
Under AA pulp mandate, you could have it tackle from John Carter of Mars (Planetary Romance) up to Buck Rodgers (Retro Future). Sure SS could do those too, but that didn't seem to be the same market.

Re: Love to see "Amazing Adventures in Space"
Planetary romance and retro future would be very interesting sub-genres to tackle, actually...
I could be wrong (will need to look into it) but I believe the John Carter books are public domain now, which means we could, theoretically, do an actual Barsoom sourcebook...

Re: Love to see "Amazing Adventures in Space"
Before AA came out, I did a wonderful one shot using C&C and it was a blast. I still get requests to continue it to this day.The Grey Elf wrote:Planetary romance and retro future would be very interesting sub-genres to tackle, actually.
Just as as a side note, here was the supporting material I used.
- Slavelords of Cydonia for crystal based firearms and the adventure
- Dragon magazines's Iron Lords of Jupiter for Races
- Adamant's Mars for the Maps and future developments if we started a campaign.
