New Baldurs Gate for the PC....

Post by Treebore »

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I haven't played in years. I never played all of the expansions either. I will probably pick this up when the downloading speed and bugs are fixed. It was a fun game.

Looks cool, but I never liked that I couldn't create the entire party. Now, if they do an upgrade of Icewind Dale, I'd be all over that.

I picked this up as soon as I heard about the pre-order. If you don't hear from me for awhile you'll know where I am. ;-)

I picked this up for $20 a few months back and have been playing through it. What memories!

I have the GoG version, so it has all the patches, etc... but I may still pick this version up.

I picked up this Enhanced Edition, despite having the GOG version. Reason? My GOG version wouldn't run correctly on my windows 7 machine. I had to make a dual-boot setup so I could run it on Windows XP on the same desktop. The Enchanced edition runs on windows 7 like a dream. Now I can reclaim that space on my hard drive and be rid of the dual boot setup.

Plus I thought the three new NPCs looked interesting. Some of the user interface updates are nice too, though not vital.

I had problems like that too, with BG as well as Might and Magic VI. Then I found out they had done a bug fix and DLed them again and they have worked fine ever since.

Oh well, too late for me, I bought the enhanced version. That's okay, the new NPCs are fun.

I'd like to see a remake / enhancement of Torment.

Playing it now. I remember when I first played it back in the day, I kept Jaheera and Khalid through the entire game since they were kind of my paternal influences and had been best friends to my father. This time, I dropped that 15 Strength having fighter and that weak-ass Druid / Fighter hybrid ASAP.

Seems harder that the first time I played it.
