Any way to get onboard?
I've been reading several threads here in the Victorious section and highly regret not jumping into the kickstart for this project. As I noted in another thread or two, I've looked at the QS but that's not the same as looking at the whole thing. Is there any way to get onboard with a full rules set, or do I have to wait until the rules hit the main store?
When will the rules hit the main store? What other kewl stuff is in the KS that I am also missing out upon?

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Last time I talked to Steve, he mentioned distribution around Sept. or so. Naturally, this will only happen once all the KS backers have their stuff. PM me for details.
As for other stuff, the KS had the rulebook, Gallery of Phantasmagoria (NPC heroes, villains and neutrals 38 in all); Hunter & Hunter catalog for the Discriminating Gentlemen and Lady (Steampunk gear and vehicle book); Manifest Destiny (USA in the 1890s plus supers); Rule Britannia (UK in the 1890s+supers); and the adventure module V1 A Night for Jackals.
I'm co-writing another module (V2 Evil in the White City) that has a hoped-for GenCon release but that's not part of the KS.
Mike, still can't believe he wrote all that supplemental stuff!

Call me jealous. Looks like an awesome kickstart and I'm annoyed with myself for missing it.

Steve had mentioned, either in a post or newsletter, that he was aiming for a July release to the KS backers of the main rule book. If that happens, I would expect the main rule book to be available shortly after (August/September).

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Glad I found this thread. I was making myself crazy searching the TLG store and Drive-Thru RPG to order Victorious to no avail! I can hardly wait to merge this with Amazing Adventures and explore a new genre with a new group and a familiar set of rules.

...and be sure to let us know how it goes when you do!
I just hope TLG gets the title of V1 fixed before then. LOL

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Okay, so now I see that Victorious can be bought through the TLG store ... plus a whole pile of supplement extras!

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Thanks for the heads up! Order placed. Mythical 19th century is an era I've yet to explore in an RPG. WooHoo!finarvyn wrote:Okay, so now I see that Victorious can be bought through the TLG store ... plus a whole pile of supplement extras!

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Hope its all you're looking for! I'd suggest getting the rulebook and maybe the module first, and if it looks like something you'll want to play then grab the supplements.

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Nice to know. I wanted to ask about which products to buy first but kind of expected a "buy it all" response. This helps me a lot.DMMike wrote:I'd suggest getting the rulebook and maybe the module first, and if it looks like something you'll want to play then grab the supplements.

Re: Any way to get onboard?
Steve might yell at me, but frankly I only want people playing Victorious who WANT to, and not buying a pile of books only to decide its not for them.
There are tons of good games out there that, for whatever reason, don't inspire me. Doesn't mean they are at fault, only that the game isn't my cup o'tea. I figure Victorious will be a similar experience for others.
Try Victorious. I hope you like it and want to buy everything. However, I know that some people just won't be inspired and I don't want them to waste $$$ on a system that they play a few times then relegate to the dusty bookshelf!
