Amazing Castles & Crusades
I have been reading through the Amazing Adventures books and have found a lot of which I'd like to port to a C&C game. The mentalist class, the fate dice mechanic, the character generation process, the sorcerer minus the corruption and either backgrounds + knowledge skills or the skill system from the Book of Powers. Has anyone done this before among you?

Can't say I have, primarily as I have not finished reading the AA rules and that mostly because the group that played C&C disintegrated so I have no reason.

I was schooled by the grey elf himself that Psionics and many other really great stuff is in there. Several said, "its your second PH/CKG.. rolled into one". Supposed to blend in very well, just have not done it yet.

Re: Amazing Castles & Crusades
Well I have not used Amazing Adventure in a fantasy setting.
However, I have modified AA by the book to run in Gothic 1880 setting with no issues.
From that I assume it will be easy to transport anything you want into C&C fantasy.
I will say that I do like the AA version of magic in comparison to standard C&C fire and forget magic, so if I was to morph anything into C&C that would be 1 thing I would do out of the gate

Re: Amazing Castles & Crusades
How would you port over an assassin from C&C to AA?
Re: Amazing Castles & Crusades
straight by the book I would guess

I would say there are 2 optionsCaptain_K wrote:straight by the book I would guess
1, if you are keeping the C&C fantasy feel, but strapping some AA items into it, then yes just port the C&C Assassin as is. No muss no fuss that way.
If you are talking about making an assassin for an AA game set in the late 19th early 20th century, then take the hooligan class as a base, give it a poison use, maybe the raider disguise ability.
I don't know, is the assassin's back attack sneak attack better than the thief's in C&? If it is then bump that up to compared to the AA BTB Hooligan
