The best setting ever:

Post by slimykuotoan »

What is it?

Let's vote for our fav, and see what comes out one top.

The poll option won't let me list many campaign settings, but answers can include these, or any I've missed:

Wilderlands, Birthright, Greyhawk, Ravenloft, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Blackmoor, Spelljammer, Dark Sun, Savage Coast, Gazetteer of the Known Realms, Aihrde/Erde, Yggsburgh, Age of Hyboria, Old World (Warhammer), Eberron, Scarred Lands, Mystara, Kingdoms of Kalamar, Council of Wyrms, Hrn, Planescape, Wheel of Time, Al-Qadim, Lankhmar, Jakandor, Rokugan, or etcetera.
For crying out loud, do what you can with the rolls the dice have given you. This is what separates the men from the boys... -Kayolan

I'd have to say Gygaxian Greyhawk as well.

How do I make this a poll?

Hmmm. I like a lot of them for many reasons. Plus my choice changes over time.

Today I'll go with Wilderlands. Tomorrow? Who knows?

Hey slimy. Go back and edit your post. Look below for poll choices. Then give it a go and preview your edits until you've got it. Not sure about this board, but so many have a limit of about 10 choices, which is way too few, IMO.

Enjoy!

Right now I'd say Wilderlands, but I loves me some Greyhawk, too.

What? Nobody said it had to be a published setting....

But I am a fan of Ravenloft and the Forgotten Realms (minus the dual-scimitar-wielding drow and epic-level NPC's and... pretty much everything 3e did to FR).

Dragonlance, Ravenloft and Birthright. The longest campaigns I ever had were in these settings.

I have a couple that I like equally well: Greybox Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance modules 1-16, and Erde/Airhde.

Edit: I forgot to mention Dark Sun.

Still gotta go with Greyhawk.

Even my own world attempts to borrow from it.

Ok, I'll now give a list of settings I really like (IE have some degree of passion for): Ravenloft Setting, Greyhawk, Faerun, Erde, and the afore mentioned Wilderlands.

Still, lot of others I like, such as Iron Kingdoms, Oathbound, Scarred Lands, Kalamar, Midnight, and others.

The only setting I have come across that I cannot get a liking for is Eberron. Dungeonworld is better than Eberron in my book.
