** Alright so what do I buy to get the C&C Home World info?
After Winters Dark?
I've already downloaded: The Haunted Highlands, Black Libram, and the Airhde - East and West maps.
** Also is there a free download of just one of the Crusader Magazines to get a preview before subscribing? Can you still subscribe to it?
** Finally is there a second monsters book. Not talking about the $1.00 pdfs but another book dedicated to the monsters?

The After Winters Dark folio is a solid introduction to the world. The Codex of Erde (the old name of Airdhe) was the original D20 sourcebook on which the AWD is based and is also a great resource (and read).
For monsters, there are two books. The regular Monsters & Treasure covers essential monsters and many treasures. There's a newer volume, Monsters & Treasure of Airdhe, which has monsters and (mostly) high-end magic items specific to the Airdhe/Erde setting, although it also contains a number of common beasts like camels.
The Haunted Highlands is a separate mini-setting, not part of the Airdhe setting, although many people have dropped it into Airdhe. The Black Libram is geared to the HH setting, though of course one could adapt and incorporate it into any setting.
So, to sum up:
- Airdhe = Erde
- AWD, the Codex of Airdhe and M&T of Airdhe cover the Airdhe setting
- The A series modules (and many others) are set in Airdhe
- The Haunted Highlands is not actually part of Airdhe, but could be dropped in if you wanted
- Products with DB designators are part of the HH mini-setting.
- The Black Libram is geared to the HH mini-setting but usable anywhere you like
Hope that helps!

Monsters & Treasure of Airhde is the second monster book. It's for the Airhde setting, but can be used for any setting.
I don't think there's a free DL of Crusader, but it's worth subscribing to, in my opinion. Though I must admit, it's been real sketchy with being released as of late. It was announced that it was taking the back seat to the CKG and I think once that joker is done with, that Crusader will be back to being released on a kind of normal schedule. So, if anything, I'd suggest buying a couple of back issues rather than subscribing, but that's my opinion.

I would not subscribe to the Crusader at present based on comments from the Trolls at TC. Crusader is certainly going to continue, but it's schedule looks to be sketchy until the big projects (CKG, C&C Basic set, etc.) are done and out the door.
That said it's a great resource for the game and certainly worth picking up the past issues over time.

If you don't mind waiting for it, still subscribe. It isn't like your money is just going to disappear and never get product for it. It isn't going to go away. I have back to back subscriptions and I am not worried that TLG is just gonna take my money and run.
I like that TLG is prioritising things and just not rushing things out. I'd rather get something worth the wait than something inferior. So, getting the money makers out first makes sense and gives some breathing room (hopefully financially). Those of us waiting to hear about our submissions know how busy TLG is on other projects and understand (Yeah I read your note on the other thread Steve ) So, if you got the money now I'd get a subscription.
I sure wouldn't mind, even prefer, The Crusader going to a bi-monthly schedule.
I signed up around issue #13 and that seemed a good jumping on point for the updated C&C.

Start at the most recent and work your way back. I agree about the sub - it's been sketchy as of late.
