Thought I'd share...
Thought I'd share...
I do a little digital art my own self... usually I don't have a whole lot of time to muck around with it, but I have a few pieces I'm pretty pleased with, and with me looking into the possibility of doing some serious 3P works for the C&C system, I'll probably be getting back into doing it a lot more (pretty pictures DO sell books!) So I thought maybe I'd share a little of the work I do-- mostly 3D and Photoshop stuff, mind ya!
This one I'm justifiably proud of because I included it as part of an art package that I sold on RPGNow, and it was picked up by a couple different people and used for the cover of their PDF's, including Skortched Urf Studios, who used it for the cover of their PFRPG Mega-Feats Revisited book. If I get one of the books finished that I'd like to, it will probably managed to get redone or recycled into it, as well.
More soon!
(BTW, if I've broke forum decorum by posting this, please feel free to tell me!)

And this one is the one that my avatar came from. Nothing spectacular, but I really liked the backgrounding.
(PS: Uhmmmm, yes, I have sort of a thing for elves in slightly less than plate armor. )

Nice...but whats with the ears???
It's more of a stylistic/personal taste thing more than anything. I'm more of a fan of the manga/anime-inspired ears on the elves I create, rather than the more standard pointed ears (those I tend to use for half-breeds or the like) or the radio-reception tall-style ears that they seem to use in Warcraft art. Then too, with many of the hairstyles I use, the regular, more simply pointed ears would probably get lost, so I opt for this. ^_^

Not exactly my cup of tea, but very nicely done!
The "ears" don't bother me. Not all elves were created to look the same!

Heretic!
Your just used to Jim constantly torturing and humiliating the poor elves.
You both need to maybe talk to someone about that!
No trip to the Undying lands for you!
And don't get me wrong. I like eye candy of all sorts...and one would need something to hold onto anyway.
give us more...more i tell ya!

Omote, my current stash of (mostly) FRPG-based work is located at DeviantArt Here. I do not know if the site lets non-members view galleries or not, but you're welcome to take a looksee.
And if we're all about doing up the elves... well, then, I guess I should join the crowd. The elves in my pics tend to get into their own share of crap situations.
Here're a few more pics for y'all, if ya prefer to stay here, rather than hit DA. Enjoy!

Thanks again!
K2h2m3, that's honestly a pretty prevailing sentiment among people who like art on the whole.
Programs like Poser, Daz|Studio, Vue and Bryce (among others) have come around that allow you to basically click a mouse to add characters or create a scene, pop some pre-fab clothes on the figures, and pose them. That unfortunately leads to a lot of work on the web where it's obvious that's all the artist did, without adjusting lighting, camera focus or thinking about composition... and it sometimes tends to look pretty amateurish.
So I'm totally with you. I am glad you like the Killer Elf piece, though. That's one of my personal faves. ^_^
(BTW, I wish like nothing else I could do some of the great traditional artwork some of the artists I've seen here do. My pencil work has way too much inconsistency for me to rely on it.)

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Thanks for all the good words, everyone! I really do appreciate it! I haven't been doing as much art as I used to recently, but I still try to churn out one or two every couple weeks, so I'll post them here and there when I can.
BTW, Go0gle, originally my subtitle on that spellcaster one was "Really? You rolled a 1?"
This is my latest, and thankfully the TLG boards have enough darkness for it probably to look decent. I think I almost made it too dark... it's called Apparition. I think that the one on my DA page is a little higher quality, so I may switch it up here later today.
