I could see that being of considerable use to those who game online.

Definitely. Its why I keep track of it, and I do use it.

I'm definitely adding that to my C&C page! Great stuff there.

There are a few relatively minor quibbles (such as BtH = to level/HD for monsters and PCs) but it does not diminish the utility. In fact, one could say it actually increases it by making the rules even more simple.

I'm glad to see C&C finally getting some of these utilities for it. The online SRD was useful, and I used PCGen for the longest time. I like not needing a computer program to track my characters anymore.

Well, you guys have gone and done it again!! You made me put more effort into completing the never-ending program.
Okay, by the numbers. Go to Altobanor.com. I know there are links floating around, but some of the files have changed. It's safer to go to my website and click on the link at the bottom. Mostly cosmetic changes but some of the classes have been completed. I will continue to add more classes and then jump to the races afterwards. After that comes the big MOTHER OF ALL additions.... finishing up the SPELLS. ugh, I'm tired already.... just kidding.
Enjoy!!

Also, if there are things that are not quite right with the program, just shout it out! I started this so long ago, certain things maybe out of date or just plain wrong!

Thanks!

Loving this, Alto! I use my laptop a lot while CKing, and this will be a huge help!

Looks great! Though your Barbarian info shows the earlier version of the the class and not the newer 4th printing version. Still using an earlier printing of the PHB?

Good job, cool app!

I don't like to use a laptop when I run games but I do have a smartphone so I loaded it up on there. I don't know what your final goal is with his, if you had intended for its us on smaller devices, but I'll give the little feedback I have anyway.

For reference I was using the Browser app on an HTC Magic (Android Phone).

The only real issue I had was with the full spell descriptions, whatever method you use for the scroll bar on the "popup window" doesn't allow me to select or scroll it so I can't read the full spell descriptions.

Everything else worked fine! Although there was a small usability issue with the fancy spell level selection buttons/links, usually I can use the scroll ball on my phone to "tab" through form/ui elements but those particular buttons/links were not selectable that way. I could click them but it took 3 or 4 presses.

Keep up the good work!

Hey cturner,

As far as loading for other devices, this is created in Flash. Obviously, with the pissing contest Adobe is having with Apple, you won't see this on the iPad, iPod, iPhone, or iRPG It would be a perfect place for it though.

The problem with the scrollbar is a strange one. I use the built in components so there wasn't anything strange with it. It might be that the implementation of Flash on Android is still not 100% there. (My co-worker mentioned something about this with his HTC EVO.) It could be how the drag is used. I will investigate it. If I can make it work for a touch screen I will.

Keep me posted on other issues.

Dang, it's not working for me ("page not found"). What's up? Is it because I'm on a mac or something.

vivsavage,

This is a flash app. so you will need to have the Adobe Flash plugin installed. You might also have the wrong link. Try this on:

Alto Banor,

Awesome work - thanks for taking the time to write the app. The format and window size looks like it should work well on a browser on an iOS or Android device too!

I hope you find time to keep filling the spell descriptions too (nudge - nudge).
