Mongoose lowered ALL of their PDF prices last week...

Still not as low as I like, but now any future sales they have will likely get them to a range I like. Still an awesome move on Mongoose's part.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

These are still very expensive. Way too expensive to me. Paying more than 10 bucks for core books of a role playing game or very rare gaming resources (like say Pavis and Big Rubble for RQ), I can understand. Paying 20 bucks for each and every single supplement in a game line? Not really, no.

Well they are lower than they were. Some are low enough I'll buy, but yeah, most are still way too high for me as well. They do have a sale every now and then, like Christmas time, so I am hoping I'll see prices I am willing to pay then.

Nope. Still not biting until they release the PDF version of "Cults of Glorantha" for RQ2.

I cannot pull the trigger on a pdf regardless of price. Give me a book or me nothing! I understand others love them... I'm not them.

I don't "love" them, they are just darn handy for all the on line gaming I do. Its easy to cut out maps to make them, cut/paste important text, etc... and anything I want to print out is much more convenient to do than scanning them to do it. Still, give me print any day.

Oh, I understand the purposes of a pdf, like modifying content or making your own personalized version of the rules and the like, printing out duplicates of a map or whatever... I get that. I just don't do it. Its nice that they're trying to make them more appealing, but for me, the only appeal would carry a price tag of $0.

I'm not an overt fan of pdfs either. Mainly because I have a hard time reading them on screen...and can't afford the ink to print all of them out so I can read them. Then again, I think that whole chiseling stuff in stone thing was too newfangled to last.

Yeah, that is one of the reasons I subscribed to Pathfinder for so long. Print and PDF, with the PDF thrown in for free. I have also gotten lucky and had free PDF's thrown in as incentives to buy things like Qin, Wild Talents, Eclipse Phase (which is legally free to anyone) and a few others I am blanking on.

I read PDFs on my iPod or iPad. I've gotten so used to it that I wish my physical books had a search feature.
