It's been so long since I've been a regular here I can't remember whether I like you or not, so congratulations!

OK. You wrote 50,000 words in 30 days. Neat, I guess. Do they have to be actual words, without repetition? I mean, I could crank out 50k in I and A in a matter of minutes probably... but, I do know others who take it seriously, and that's a fun thing. Off to a decent start at 50,000. I'd expect it to triple by tomorrow. Hehe. Anyway, and really, good job.

I like to think you did.
Serl, yes, keeping it real, it's a good start of first draft material. I plan to keep at it and get to 80 -100 k then set it aside to take a fresh look later in 2011 and start editing editing editing.

and rewriting rewriting rewriting....

but I havn't written this much in years, so that hurdle is cleared.

Congrats! My wife participated in it a couple of years ago. She writes 50,000 words for her books every few days.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
