What do you want in a C&C app?
Ok. It is VERY early and I have not spoken to the Troll Lords yet but I am delving into the world of iPhone/iPad app development and wondered what you would want in an app?
BTW, be realistic in your requests. I am just building my skill set here...

Well im not the person you were looking for as I don't have a iPhone/iPad ect..
But the single best rpg player app for any game I would think would be a easy to use and neat to look at dice roller.
If it could read off the result outloud even better though a option to turn it off would be a good idea!
Hope my rambling helped at least a little!

It should have the minimum requirements:
1) create a character -- either randomly or by allowing editing an exiting profile which then fills in the details like BtH and modifiers
2) tracking or recording or magic items and spells; it may be a good idea to allow the creation of this as well
3) detailed descriptions of the things you don't want the book for: unarmed combat, monster attacks, spells, magic items... basically a Castle Keeper Scren but broken into sections
In fact, it would probably be better if there was a way to start the app in one of two modes:
Player or Castle Keeper. If Player is selected, it only loads the things relevant to a player. Of course, there's probably no way to prevent a player from loading the CK mode (unless they were two separate apps altogether), but any decent player would not cheat that way.

I tend to agree with GameOgre... an easy to use die roller would be fantastic, especially if it allowed you to easily add in bonuses.
I don't have to have everything perfect... just good enough that the seams don't show on the monkey suit. -Me
I like that. Not going to use it because I like mine better, but I do like that idea. -Treebore, summing up most home designers' philosophy

I'd also add that I'm an Android user, rather than iPhone/pad

Looks like I will have to represent for the iPhone/iPad/iTouch side
Something that allows me to store characters and such would be great, especially if I could put all my NPCs on my phone!
Droid is sexy though, I must admit

While I do not have either device (sold the iPad that work gave to me), I think there are certain functions that should just scream as required, many of which were said already.
I know a jazzy dice roller would need to be involved. A dungeon maker would be nice, too, especially for the tablet versions as they have a screen size that could make it worthwhile.

It is not a "dice app" but a function of the "character app," as I see it.
Though, 99% of the actual dice apps out there are pretty standard... they tend to not have the ability to roll between odd numbers, such as 2-17 or 4-56, which admittedly do not come up often but I still liking having that option.

What I tend to find with Dice Apps is that they either don't sort well (was using one for an oWoD game which wouldn't let me check, quickly and conveniently, which dice rolled above X; had to manually count each time), or don't take modifiers well.

As an iPad user and someone that uses it in conjunction with gaming, my number one choice is always an editable onscreen character sheet, then anything a GM/DM/CK could use for tracking combats and campaigns.
