Christmas Sale Questions

Post by Kurgan »

Since nobody's asked already...

1. When does the sale officially end? Immediately after Christmas, end of the month, or into the new year? (Helps to know if the sale overlaps with a forthcoming payday.) :)

2. Steve stated earlier that the digest editions are exact replicas of the larger books. Does that mean they're little hardcovers, too? (Now that would be awesome.)

3. Are the digests new, regular products, or one-shot novelties for the holidays? (ie. Do we have to buy them now or else miss out on them, or will we be able to buy 'em later?)

4. Since the CKG is included in the digest bundle, will the bundle ship without it initially, with it following later when ready, or will the bundles stay on-hold until it's ready? (I honestly don't care; I'm just curious.)

5. Dear Lord, what's up with the shipping rates? Wowzers.

6. Is it appropriate to leave cookies and milk out for trolls? I mean, hey, cookies and milk rock, and I've got three teeth left to prove it.

Rather than cookies and milk, I think Dr. Pepper and beef jerky might be more appropriate.

OK, I'm only guessing on the beef jerky. But confidence is high on the Dr. Pepper.

Wow, the new boards left me logged in overnight like I asked. Its a Christmas miracle! hahha

It is scheduled to end on December 25. But the likelihood of me logging on and dismantling the sale is 0%. So probably a few days after would be my guess. It will not run into the new year.

On the hardbacks, Sadly not now. But that is a great idea!! And it may become a reality. We are acquiring our own equipment to do the hardbacks (presently we outsource a little of the hardback process, but that will end soon). But for now they are perfect bound.

They will become a staple of the TLG offerings. Right after Christmas, well, sort of right after, I'll add a section for Digest books and Flip books to the website, to allow folks to get the version they are most comfortable with using at the table. This will be followed by the Estore, the Istore, the Ustore, everybody has an eye sore approach

We should have a complete CKG by this weekend. The bundles of Digest books will ship out on Monday. If I get the idea that the CKG won't be ready by Monday, then we'll ship the four books immediately.

I know. This is the one area I can't control. We are all about cost cutting here but the rates keep going up. The only good news is that if they keep going up we may end up using UPS for more direct to consumer shipping. They have excellent tracking. The only other thing we can offer is media mail. Which I may be able to integrate into the new cart system.

LOLOL Dr. Pepper! Though I do love a frosty mug of milk! And beef jerky goes a long way. That and peanuts.

all great news!!!!
So I'm dense, sorry... the Digest PHB, M&T, and CKG are exactly the same only smaller? I won't be able to read that, :(
but they do sound cool otherwise.
I know, making them twice the page count and same font size won't be bind-able, I bet.
