Re: Nate's New Sunday Night Game
Not looking promising, so I am going to commit to doing other things tonight, hopefully next time...
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Game on. Was outside working on a woodworking project for a Christmas present. Got lost and forgot to post. Sorry for the last post.
Re: Nate's New Sunday Night Game
Well that was a fun way to end a module. These modules really show how incredible a buffed out ranger with a magic weapon is, if he can pick his opponents. Thankfully, Treebore made good use of his magic, as did our illustrious druid who buffed the ranger and protected our flank. And Aergraith and I had fun installing a puppet regime in the fastness of the Frost Giant Jarl. All hail the new Jarl!

The Fire Giant King is dead! Next we need to clear out the rest of the Volcanic lair.
This is what was posted the last time we talked about Freedom of Movement:
This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web. The subject automatically succeeds on any grapple check made to resist a grapple attempt, as well as on grapple checks or Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.
The spell also allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces, provided that the weapon is wielded in the hand rather than hurled. The freedom of movement spell does not, however, allow water breathing.

Was the Giant sized Silver Belt magical? ( I am reading back through SKYPE, totaling up gold, etc...)

Re: Nate's New Sunday Night Game
Tree, I would think that the person under a Freedom of Movement spell would be able to still move freely inside of a Wall of Thorns, but I would think they would still take the damage since it's from thorns and not impeding them. But perhaps this would be a better separate discussion for everyone.Treebore wrote:This is what was posted the last time we talked about Freedom of Movement:

Whoa . . so that is Nate!
He doesn't look like a C&C nerd!
He doesn't look like a lawyer!
He doesn't look old enough to have kids!
He does look like an accountant!

I would be (pleasantly) surprised if we have a game today, with it being Valentines, and all. Since my wife and I have already done all our "Valentines stuff" I will be available.

Game on tonight, but 30 minutes late. I have a new machine and I am still porting files over. I have not yet got MT up and running. So
Re: Nate's New Sunday Night Game
When we get a chance (maybe when we have cleared this level) lorimar takes a few minutes to read the 86 scrolls to see if there is anything relevant, other than the price of sheep in the local marketplace

Yeah, like I said, I do NOT recall these scrolls from when I last ran this module. So my desire to burn them is simply to inconvenience any Fire Giants we may accidentally be leaving alive to continue their Clan. Now if the tme to read them is actually taken, and they prove to have information of use to US, then that obviously changes things.

If we are gaming tonight, I might be late. The Mrs. and I are going to visit my mother for the day, but I expect to be back by the time the game starts, barring anything out of the ordinary happening.

I am trial prepping today. I thought I only would have one trial this coming week, but the judge surprised us.... Yeah. So, no game.

I'm assuming no game this week because of Easter. Anyway, I might not be home as the wife had said something about staying at her parents until Monday.
