The Snow Watch

Post by Go0gleplex »

I keep hearing about all this snow around the country. Yet other than a couple briefly lived flakes for a day, there has been nothing out here in Western Oregon. :)

Maybe you guys are just livin in the wrong parts of the country.

Heh. Living here in the Land of Cleve, my backyard has looked like that since August. Don't expect a change in scenery either until May!

Funny thing about this latest storm rolling through the south and up the eastern seaboard, the ATL actually suspended USPS mail service?!?!?! WTF ever happened to that creed of rain and snow will never stop a deliveryman on his route? LAME.. and they f***ing got paid to stay home?!?!

BUCK UP southies.

That much snow up here would shut things down for a day or two at least BD. Or at the very least, bollux things up severely.

Hmm. Newcastle you say? I may just have to lay into Arkansas folk a little more about snow to get such a delicious concussion. Bdiddy, I'm not sure what you do in the realz life, but I thought it was techy. If that is the case, IT CAN WORK FROM HOME SON. You'd betta recanize. FACE!

Global climate change is quite real, as evidenced by things as varied as the polar ice cap melting, island inundations in the Pacific, and the global temperature records.

Discussions regarding the cause of the climate change likely trip the "no politics" rule, I suspect.

Aye, sir! I would hate for this board to resemble another RPG board (which I will not name here) that often has vitriolic flamewars on political topics and all-too-often becomes a one sided dogpile on the minority viewpoint. Whether or not we hold a certain political viewpoint is a conversation for another forum . ;)

I've been in plenty of flamewars on that site as well. Nothing good comes from letting libs and cons go at it.

There is a snow watch all the way on the other side of the world ... It hasn't rained/snowed here since October, and good lord am I tired of the dust ... That beings said I have my fingers crossed for light snow by sunrise here, and then off and on today and a good push tomorrow night. If it doesn't my Capt & I will eat crow for the rest of the week.

Garee, not much into flame wars myself (I only visit this site, so luckily never been in one) but as a con, I say good friendly debate is good, but going at it .... Your right nothing good can come of it, unless those going at it are hot blonds or red heads.... (sorry for going off topic, there was a cutie on an AFN commercial and my mind wondered for a second or two)

Wow...do you see how far we have slid down the rabbit hole?!?! (Fantasy topic)

Just commenting on how worse the weather COULD be.

For anyone that wishes to politicize the climate and the cyclical patterns that have existed since before recorded time (Which is a topic for meteorology and ecology btw not politics)

I only point out the elephant on the couch. I make no statement concerning the elephant...I just point.

As for other rpg forums...yeah. I prefer this and only this site because we don't have so many mean spirits.

Snow is good, my dog loves it. We play, we shovel and then fight with the playtoys. I'd really love to let her go and catch a rabbit, but she's not trained to stay off the street.

Today, shoveling and shoveling ~ including the roof!! :x

I moved north so I could enjoy the snow, but now most of the big storms pass to the south of me. :(
