I got turned onto and seriously interested in this after playing it at Neon Con last November. I typically do NOT like Lovecraft, but this one found its way past my normal dislike. Here is a preview that might show why it may be of interest to others:

(Traveller) Cthonian Stars...
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Re: (Traveller) Cthonian Stars...
sounds cool. But, i would use starsiege or COC rules instead of traveller. it has a pulp feel and traveller rules, imo, wouldn't do it it justice.
Re: (Traveller) Cthonian Stars...
Yeah, but your talking to someone who has used Traveller for about 25 years now, so I know it will do it justice, especially since it is written for the Traveller rules. Plus it did not have a "pulp" feel, it had a sci fi horror feel and worked fine with the Traveller rules along with the fear/insanity rules they made up for this.
I am sure it will work fine with StarSIEGE though.

Re: (Traveller) Cthonian Stars...
How did it handle sanity checks? was it a task with dificulity dependent on horror value?
Re: (Traveller) Cthonian Stars...
Sanity is fun. Losing it is better.
