Well, the postman rang the doorbell today & handed me a box from Troll Lord Games! The Castles Keepers Guide has arrived at the Ore household! It's big.Treebore wrote:Yep, shipped at the end of last week, so you should have it any day now. If you don't have it by Friday call them about it. If I am remembering you being in the US correctly. Canadians probably have another 5 years to wait.JediOre wrote:I'm still waiting for my pre-order. I've been out of town for 9 days, but nothing came in the mail. Am I reading the posts correctly? Have the CKG, without the warped spine, been shipped?
What's your order number for the CKG?

IT is great. I have read through it all now and it has tons of tools to help a CK get their job done.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Any idea when it will be shipping to FLGSs? I promised mine that I would buy it from him.

I was number 233 and I just got the book today! Hope this gives you guys an idea on when yours will arrive. I just had I chance to skim through it and I've already found a bunch of cool ideas to use in my campaign.

I *thought* I had preordered it, but it was merely in My Cart. So, I picked up a copy at All Things Fun! two Saturdays ago at TrollCon East. Loving the book!

We are hoping to get the full run out to stores next week. There were far more pre-orders than we anticipated. They had apparently been piled in 3 different folders and though I process many of the orders I hadn't realized how many there were. The last of the pre-orders shipped yesterday. Direct to retail shipped as well. Regular run is ongoing.dunbruha wrote:Any idea when it will be shipping to FLGSs? I promised mine that I would buy it from him.
So if we can get them to UPS by end of next week they will be announced as available on the 17th and distributors will start taking orders on the 21st. A week after that, they begin arriving in stores.
If your FLGS wants them sooner, we can drop ship same day they place an order with us.
Steve

Thanks for the update!
Re: What's your order number for the CKG?
My favorite online store (www.superherogameland.com) has now listed even the slipcase set as forthcoming...and I am waiting on that to get my CKG. Now that the CKG is being printed for distribution, how long until the slipcase set? I know there was some talk about the M&T and the PHB being done in the same matte style to match the CKG in the set, and I am excited to see that.

I love the fact that it is packed with tools, yet you don't need any of them. I get to pick and choose but know in the back of my mind that if I don't want to add those layers to my campaign that I did just fine without them for years. It's a good feeling, knowing I have so many options.Treebore wrote:IT is great. I have read through it all now and it has tons of tools to help a CK get their job done.

Nice thing about the matte covers, they are actually turning out the green I intended when I set it up. I think the gloss darkened them down considerably.

I talked to Tim at TrollCon East about the covers. I much preferred the matte cover to the gloss. Awesome job, Peter!gideon_thorne wrote:Nice thing about the matte covers, they are actually turning out the green I intended when I set it up. I think the gloss darkened them down considerably.

Re: What's your order number for the CKG?
I'm fine with the matte cover and only have a slight preference for the glossy.
But Pete's right about some of the color differences.
My M&T (soft), PH and CKG are all different shades.
Anyway, turn to page 126 of the CKG for a spectacular fantasy drawing. Just awesome!!

Order Number: 79
Very much enjoying the Green Hardcover version. Of course I'll have to get the soft cover to have a matching set, and PDF of course. Now if we can just get the Trolls to do a limited print run with the old Yellow Covers and another for the Red Leatherette, I'd be set.
