Any C&C podcasts?

Post by Dragonhelm »

Hey, all. Just de-lurking a bit tonight.

Saw something about a C&C actual play podcast, which got me to thinking. Are there any C&C podcasts out there that aren't actual play?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't found one, and if there is one I'm sure the creators would let the forum dwellers know. I've been thinking for a few months that some of us need to get together and start one up. I keep listening to Save or Die, Roll for Intiative, and now THACOs Hammer, and thinking there is more than enough material in C&C to create a similar podcast. With the CKG release soon close, there is even more material to make up a show.

I can put a hidden mic in Steve's office for you cats. It is a LOT more entertaining than you might think. You could easily catch him singing along to lady gaga, doing a rain dance, or cursing his printers and/or Mark.

I listen to all 3 of those and am a participant in one of their actual play podcasts (Book of Sorrows). They're a lot of fun and I'd listen to / be involved with C&C equivalents.

It is a good idea and one we have talked about. Something we might do in the future but if someone decides to make one before that, we'd be glad to publicize and participate.

Maybe it shouldn't be C&C exclusive, but open to all Siege engine games current and upcoming. Hmm... Siegecast might be a good name. 8-)

How 'bout "All things Troll"??

If anyone has any podcasting technological skills I'd help out in other ways.

One of these days, and Im actually not kidding for once, I am going to drag my condenser mic rig over to Steve's house and force him to make at least one podcast for the fine folks that play C&C. I might even chime in with some words of wisdom (or a distinctive lack thereof).

I seriously don't know why this hasn't been done yet. Have you seen what they have podcast for now? C&C should have been a done deal by now!

But wouldn't most of that be drowned out by the sound of DP cans depressurizing?

Lose 50 XP. (Kidding!)

Seriously, a podcast is a radio show that is downloadable to your computer and able to be put on a mobile device, such as an iPod (hence the name). People can make them in their own homes for a minimal cost.

My advice would be to start with a really good one like Slice of SciFi (www.sliceofscifi.com). It's a lot of fun, and one of the best produced podcasts out there.

Quality on podcasts will vary, but I think it's forgivable as there are all sorts of shows about all sorts of subjects.
