Question about Troll Con -- Please give us your thoughts

Post by timburns »

Greetings All...

Because of a host of factors, we are considering moving Troll Con to September instead of July. We are having trouble finding a proper venue for it at that time and a number of people have said it is too close to the 4th of July Holiday (we were thinking the week after that). If we did it any later in July, we risk losing people who are also planning to go to Gen Con and we don't want to miss out on anyone who wants to make it to Troll Con. So we are asking for your thoughts, feedback and opinions on moving it to September. So please post your thoughts here and/or answer the poll and we will consider all the possibilities and let you know how it all shakes out. Thanks in advance for your responses; we want this Troll Con to be the best one yet so we value your opinion. Thanks, Tim and Steve and the rest of the Trolls

I work in a school, so September would be a bad time for me to take 3 days off. My schedule in the summer is a little more flexible. But it may be a mote point for me anyways, since I may have to save to go on an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2012. M
But for everyone else, you may want to look at dates in August.

Given how I don't have the $$ to attend anytime soon...it wouldn't matter to me if it were in either month. Were I able to attend I would.

Unfortunately, this year, September would be out of the question. Too much useless family garbage to burn before finally celebrating the only month worthy of it.

Fall is a no-go for me, I'm afraid, or at least highly improbable.

However, if there's no decision within a week or so, I probably won't be able to make July either. I'm at the point - and others may be as well - where we have to get our summer vacations scheduled with our employers, and planning has to start now.

I also don't have it in the budget, but August sounds best for the reason stated above., kids still out of school, further from the other cons and July 4 holiday weekend.

September is mo betta! With TC being so close to GenCon I usually can't get that kind of time off so close together. Now with a new position at my work, it's going to be really tough to do that. I'm a spring/fall kind of Con guy, fo sho'. Turn it up to 11 Trolls!
