A very near thing...

Deep in the heart of an evil temple, the party's magic useless and inert, the mage alone, with his companions laid low all about him, backs away from the bloody and savage gnoll advancing on him with its axe, and with his bow fires a last desperate arrow at the foul creature...rolling a natural 20 and saving everyone from a TPK.

(We all had a really good game today.) 8-)

Yes! Fantastic game. Narpet is running a great game! That darn evil temple is sentient and chose to place some sort of anti-magic shell over us. None of our magic worked, including cure potions, our wand and our spells. Don't find out until after the huge gnolls are trying to hack us to bits!! Thank the Gods, our wizard rolled that 20!!
