is the one I'm waiting for. I'm curious as to what all info is on it. I do hope they updated the grappling / pummeling rules (the old screen still has the rules from an earlier printing of the PHB).
I'm pretty excited about the new screen myself. My first experience with a "landscape" screen was with a beautiful, heavy-duty screen for True20. When I received it, my thought was, "Why aren't they all like this? I can see the battle mat without standing up!"
The other screen I use is for Labyrinth Lord, which I made myself, and that's a 3 panel landscape screen. After exposure to the True20 screen, I can't imagine using any other layout...

I hope that the font size is larger than on the last one. I love a good GM screen, but if it's too small I can't use it much while play is underway. (I have to lift the screen to squint at it, so the value of the screen diminishes somewhat....)

I'm looking forward to the new screen, too. I saw, what I think, was the "demo" version of it at Gen Con. It looked pretty sweet. I'm anxiously awaiting its release.
It has been awhile. I would look forward to a new screen with the updated information on it and maybe some of the CKG info as well.

Finally got a chance to crack the covers on this last night. It's certainly solid! The printing and gluing job seems very clean. My only issue with the screen is that the typeface is pretty small; while it's probably necessary due to the information density required, making the text darker would help the readability for someone with older, weaker eyes like myself.
The real test will come this weekend when I break it out for my face-to-face game.

Well considering this...well...I'll just call it an emerging issue in mature gamers regarding vision capability. Along with the new printing abilities of the trolls and the two - two panel screens that are out. Why not have the trolls make a special 3 or 4 two panel version of the sceen for those challenged with the far-sight gift.
In other words, just print up a few with giant print! Same content, more panels, bigger font. Can you catch the Vision. And as far as cost - I 'm sure those with far-sight have enough fore-sight not to be short-sighted enough to expect see a low price.
Hey I've got an idea. You old bastards that can't see very well (like me), how about getting glasses?? DOH!
Heh, just kidding, y'all probably have several pair. At least I do, one for everyday walking around, a slightly different one for reading and typing on the compy and finally, the coke bottle glasses for book reading!!
Anyone know how the font on the CK screen compares with the digest books??

Or, like me, it's an all-in-one deal. The ophthalmologist rubs his hands in glee and begins planning a new addition to his house when he see me coming with a new prescription.

A great idea! I know I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

In my case, I've never been correctable to 20-20. I've had glasses all my life and the eye doc says there is nothing he can do about it.
