CKG Exerpts
Are there any plans to sell sub-sections of the CKG as pdf products?
I'm interested in getting the 'crunchy' chapters, but am happy to skip the sections on world building and so on. Given, that the full pdf is $30, am I the only one who'd like to see sub-sections at, say $10?

There were plans for exactly this at some point. Haven't heard much about this in months tho.

That'd be a good idea. I'd recommend that if you're going to get even two sections at a $10 price point, it'd be worth it to spend the extra $10 and buy the book...assuming this comes to pass. I think it's worth it.

As probably the only idiot who payed full price for it on rpgnow.com ($32) just before it went on sale too. I have to say this is a great Idea for the PDF. While I think the CKG is a great product I think $32 is way to much for a PDF.
Especially since I ended up printing up just some chapters and putting them in binders. Mostly things that were player options, or could be used by players. There is really no reason to print the world building chapters since as the CK I'm the only one interested in that chapter if at all.
If I had known the CKG had the chance of going to kindle I would have waited and bought it on kindle and buy only the chapters I needed printed in PDF that would have been optimal for my use.

You are far from the only person to pay full price.Ronin77 wrote:As probably the only idiot who payed full price for it on rpgnow.com ($32) just before it went on sale too.

The Trolls could make some more sales this way, or maybe they are worried that it will undermine sales of the full pdf...?
Re: CKG Exerpts
I think anyone willing to pay for it already will. Those that would not otherwise might buy the excerpts. What undermines PDF sells is price point. Who wants to pay almost the same price for print as for PDF.Birthright wrote:The Trolls could make some more sales this way, or maybe they are worried that it will undermine sales of the full pdf...?

Re: CKG Exerpts
Rereading my post I realized that came off pissy. I love love love the CKG. I just don't like the price of the PDF. Hope that was clear enough. Sure I paid it and Don't feel I was really ripped off or anything. And if it had been any other product I woulda never paid more than $20 for it. Often I jump on any product around $10 because then I can afford to also get it in print too. That said I have kind of put off buying the print version since I did pay so much for the PDF and just printed some of it. Which brought my cost with binders to well above the hard bound cost. And that is my only complaint.
If exerpts were in PDF it would be great for those that dont need every section. If they were in print some one like me who got the PDF already could get sections with options to share with players.

Re: CKG Exerpts
We will eventually break this apart I suspect. We have to be very careful how we do so however; there are so many pricing problems going on with in the channels nook/kindle/itunes/pdf/print/direct/store/zoo/grocery store/that old lady who lives under the steps....they all want a pricing policy that fits their model of distribution and we have to figure out how to tailor it.
