I was curious about older XP rules...
For example, Rogues receiving extra xp when they manage to steal something, etc. I never read them myself but I often heard about those rules from earlier editions. Can anyone post me a detailed list please? ^.^
Old XP rules
Re: Old XP rules
AD&D DMG didn't give separate EX to thieves for such things. XP WAS given for value of treasure obtained. Money taken by picking pockets would qualify...

Re: Old XP rules
I recall Rolemaster / MERP had XP for pretty much everything - maneuvers, spellcasting, etc. I don't recall anything in 1st ed. AD&D, but it's been a while, so I couldn't say for sure.

2e AD&D had "Individual Class Awards" for when a PC did something within his/her class ability in-game. For example, it gave a wizard 50 XP/spell level for "spells cast to overcome foes or problems." It gave Rogues 2 XP "per gold piece value of treasure obtained" and 5 XP "per hit die of creatures defeated (bard only)." I used them sometimes, but not always.
