No Longer Editing

Post by Christina Stiles »

Hey, gang:

I just wanted to let everyone know that I won't be doing any editing for TLG any longer. Editing requires a great deal of time and concentration to do it right, and I just don't have the free time or the ability to concentrate for long periods right now. I'm still dealing with a lot of life issues, including my health problems and my husband's, so I'm going to stick to writing projects, where I can work in spurts. I'm still a Troll at heart, though, and love C&C!. I'll continue to run C&C games at local cons.

If anyone is interested in what I'm up to, you can find me in the upcoming Kobold Quarterly (#19) and their upcoming re-release of the Zobeck Gazetteer (bigger and better!). I'm finishing up the Rogue Mage game I've been working on for over 4 years, and I'm writing some Pathfinder material for Kobold Quarterly and Open Design patron projects. I'll be running an Open Design project in the near future, too.

I'll check in every now and then. Keep the C&C love thriving, folks! It's a great game, and it deserves a widespread audience.

Christina

Does this mean there's a job opening? To whom should I submit my resume?

TLG has Tim Burns, but you can certainly ask the Troll Lord if he's in need of someone else in addition to Tim.

As always CS, everything the best to you, your husband, and all of your projects. In the short amount of time we have worked together, it was always a pleasure. Much respect.

Thanks, Omote. Hope to be able to catch up with you again at another con...when life settles down. :) I told the Troll Lord I might be able to do smaller projects Tim can't get to, but the big ones are not within my time capabilities right now.

I know we don't know each other, but I feel like everyone here is part of one big, happy, albeit dysfunctional, family. So, from my family to yours, I hope you and your husband get well, and good luck with your future endeavors. :)

It says something about your professionalism that you can recognize when your plate is too full to give your best. Thanks for everything you've done so far, and I'll look forward to seeing your name in future projects.

Good luck with things and hope all goes well. As others have stated it's really tough to recognize when you are overextended, and even harder to figure out where to cut back. Hope everything works out well for you!

Good luck, CS. Hope things get back to normal soon. Well, if normal is good I mean. If normal sucks, I hope you become abnormal soon. :)

I hate to hear we're not going to benefit from your editing work, Christina, but I totally understand where you're coming from, both timewise and healthwise. Best of wishes to you and yours, as well, and I look forward to seeing more work from you!

Thanks for being part of the effort to bring a higher standard of production quality to the TLG works! (The quality of the content hasn't been the problem!) Hope you're both able to recover your health, and look forward to seeing you around here (or at some future con) for many years!

Your work has really made a difference with some of the material the TLG has put out but we all need to do what we have to to move on and get ahead in this crazy world. All the best and I look forward to Rogue Mage.

Brightest Blessings,

I think the trolls realized I was trying to escape. And there is NO ESCAPE from the trolls. So, I may be shackled back to a desk and working on trollish things. One of you guys must have squealed on me. ;-)

Anyway, don't count me out yet.
