Looking for early issues of The Seeker

Post by Fullerton »

Can anybody tell me how to get early issues of The Seeker? The TLG site doesn't appear to have direct links to any of them at all, but Google pointed me at Vol 4 (issues 1-4), Vol 5 (issues 1-5), and Vol 6 (issue #1 only), so I got all those.

I believe there are at least four other issues: V1.1, V2.1, V2.2, V3.1. Can anyone provide those? Are there any other issues beyond all those?

Thanks!

I have all of them somewhere.

Maybe this week I'll dig around and find them.

I would be interested in these too.

On a somewhat related note, I have the Legends of Erde stuff if anyone wants it.

I'm in the same boat, Fullerton. I have everything from Vol. 4 up, but nothing earlier. serl, if you've got them (and be willing to share!) that'd be pretty sweet!

OK, they are available on the TLG site, if you know the trick.

So, here is that trick.

Type in http://www.trolllord.com/downloads/pdfs/ as the URL in your Address Bar in whatever browser. But, after the /pdfs/ you must put in something like vol5iss1.pdf to load that issue.

Some combinations do not seem to work, like vol1iss1.pdf but others do, like vol6iss1.pdf.

Maybe the Trolls can actually fix this and make it easier to access...

The earliest, earliest ones are not online and never have been. They seem to be have been in-house only or attempted to be sold/given away at cons (making them, perhaps, the most rare of all TLG items.)

Check out this interview for more insight.

I don't think I'm looking for the earliest, earliest ones. I'm not looking for printed ones. Just the pdf/electronic ones prior to Vol 4. (And I believe the trolls have everything from Vol 4 and later available using the technique you describe, because I already scrounged those up last year.)

According to the following thread, there are pdf/electronic versions of Vol 1.1, Vol 2.1, Vol 2.2, Vol 3.1:

... those are what I'm hoping to get my hands on.

Yeah... those were up on the old site like 5 years ago, maybe a little earlier. I'll keep digging into my DVD / CD backups and see if I can't find them. I can't guarantee I will, since about 12 broke when I moved to the new house.

Grabbed 'em, thanks very much, Peter! :D

Out of curiosity, did you find them online someplace, or did you happen to already have them?

I'll pm one of the trolls to see whether the full run can be added to the web site.
