More info here at the Hobbit Blog ( http://www.thehobbitblog.com/ ) and they will likely post the trailer first thing tomorrow.
Looks like a LEGO Lord of the Rings and Hobbit is coming our way as well.

Yeah, I'm not keen on the 3D either for various reasons including the headaches. But hopefully that won't be the case here. Peter Jackson worked with a 3D camera company to come up with a rig that better simulates the physical distance between human eyes. Typically, the dual lens systems are too wide - too far apart from one another which is one major thing that greatly contributes to the headaches. This is the first 3D movie that I'm actually looking forward to.Sir Ironside wrote:Yaaargh! Gaaarble! Someone please tell that there will be a normal version as well as a 3D one. I'm one of those that get blinding headaches from 3D (As well as wear glasses). Or, will I have to wait for the boxed set? (Which really isn't all that bad as I really liked the extended (Directors Cut) version of the first 3 films over the theater releases.)

That Sir, is the understatement of the year!Go0gleplex wrote:Looks good so far.
Red, you just taught me a lesson. I learned not to set on the couch with my daughters, click on a link, and as it is slowly loading, go to poor a cup of coffee. There is no way to get back in time to keep the little ones from seeing/hearing something that their mom will not approve of once the song starts
This is my reaction to watching The Hobbit trailer.
OK, that's just funny right there. I can hear it now, "Daddy, what's 'jizz'?"Lurker wrote:Red, you just taught me a lesson. You mean these guys...?DeadReborn wrote:Just watched it for the fifth time. Hearing the Dwarves in harmony gives me goosebumps everytime. As excited as I am for the movie, I'm almost equally excited to hear the soundtrack.

Yeah that would be bad, but them asking mommy would be worse, and even more so if it was granny or their Sunday school /wed night church teacher!redwullf wrote:...

Relaxo, Oh that's just part of the joy of daddy-hood. It's kind of funny when you think about it, at least it would have been funny to be a fly on the wall and see the "Oh NOOOOOO" look on my face when the song started and me trying to hurry to turn if off without making the little ones interested in why I'm hurrying to turn it off.
Tragic about the kids, though.
Rgr on that!As excited as I am for the movie, I'm almost equally excited to hear the soundtrack.
Does Thorin Oakenshield look a little too Johnny Depp-ish, or is it just me?redwullf wrote:You mean these guys...?DeadReborn wrote:Just watched it for the fifth time. Yeah, or something. He definitely lacks the beard of a great dwarven leader, and the impressive nose. He doesn't look...dwarfy...enough.AGNKim wrote:Does Thorin Oakenshield look a little too Johnny Depp-ish, or is it just me?

I bet they had this exact same conversation in the production meetings. Probably came down to character differentiation. Imagine running a game with the dwarves as PCs with those names!redwullf wrote:Yeah, or something. He definitely lacks the beard of a great dwarven leader, and the impressive nose. Maybe he is like a diplomat for humans.Arduin wrote:AGNKim wrote:

You know it. Weird that they didn't make him look like a dwarf but, a human. Director screwed up.
