Map tools framework

Post by Valens »

Does anyone have a framework setup for map tools? I'm considering using this vrs fg if the framework is fairly solid.

You'll want to talk to nwelte - he's the grandmaster poobah of C&C Maptools!

I have one that I cobbled together. I'll try to clean it up and export it this weekend.

I started a new thread here for my frame work.

I play in Nate's game and I encourage you to try out both our frameworks to see which works best for you. Heck, steal bits from both and make your own. :)

Sorry I have not been on in a while to respond to this thread, but I do have my framework together. Here is the dropbox link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24783485/Campai ... File.cmpgn Its not pretty by any means but it works for me. The load time on the campaign will be long because I included a bunch of tokens preloaded. This is explained further below. Here is a summary of the list of feature:

A CK sheet (a hidden map). In order for the frame work to work, this map needs to exist in every campaign. On this map you will find a bunch of tokens. Most are just images that monster tokens reference for shapeshifting effects. You will also find a Lib.mon token. This token is essential for my monster macros to work. There is also a generic monster token for you to cut and paste to make new monsters. This token has a macro that takes you through the monster creation step and results in a fully operation monster.

There is a map called monster base set. This map is included solely so you can save monsters I pregenerated to your individual directory. Once each monster is saved where you want it, I would delete this map. This will speed up load times. On new maps you can now drop tokens on to the map from you library and hit the random or set hp buttons. This will also auto calculate exp based on the new HP.

Note monsters like werewolf or vampire that have the shapeshifting/polymorph type ability have a macro that when hit will change the icon of the monster.

If you got questions drop me a line.

Initiative in this frame work is set to reroll each round. Initiative is rolled two ways. 1. Select a monster and hit the initiative macro. This will roll initiative for all PC tokens and monsters as one large group. 2. Select a monster and hit the global macro titled Initiative: Global. Once initiative is rolled, every click of the initiative:global button advances the initiative. When initative reaches the end of the ro und, select a monster and hit the Initiative: Global button. This will reroll iniative and set the initiative panel for the next round.
