The used book store here in Wellington is pretty sweet!

Post by SaveVsFail »

I have restocked my collection of AD&D hardbacks, both original covers as well as the more codified ones that came later, including a Fiend Folio. The only thing I'm missing is a copy of Dieties and Demigods (which I suspect I'll have to ebay).

The most recent find can be found here http://www.savevsfail.com/2012/03/where-it-all-began/ Had to put it in a blog post it made my inner 10 yr old so happy.

Some guy was in there selling his copy of the basic Dungeon Geomorphs set as well, looked to be complete. I may go back and grab that if they don't ask a stupid price for it.

I still have my 1st Ed 1st printing one with the "forbidden" material. Good stuff.

Yeah, I've seen a couple copies on Ebay for like 50$ I'm surprised actually, I seem to remember them being much much higher last time I looked. Still cheaper than getting boxes of books shipped down to NZ.

So tempted to run some Forgotten Realms C&C now that I have those grey books again.

Gee, they used to cost MORE than D&D hardbacks in print...

yar!

Just scored Waterdeep and the North, with the map!! There's also a complete Dark Sun box I'm thinking I'll grab next weekend, just cause its there. Also another FR campaign box, but sadly it also has no maps. :(

Nice scores, hoss! I love the "Grey Box" and about the first 5-6 FR series. My first ever official C&C campaign was ran with the Grey box, starting in Arabel.
