Clockwork Angels

Post by KaiserKris »

Is anyone else on these boards seriously looking forward to the release of this album? If the rest of the album is as good as "Caravan" and "Headlong Flight" were, than it might be the best Rush album in quite a long time. Apparently those guys missed the memo about slowing down in their old age.

Also, what an awesome title for an album? And ... a pretty sweet name for a monster to boot.

I've not heard "Caravan" and "Headlong Flight", but became quite enamored with the song "BU2B" when the band played at the Sept. 2010 concert I attended in Atlanta.

BADASS. Does anything else need to be said? I'm hitting two Rush shows this year. It's going to rock my face off.

Unfortunately, the nearest Rush concert for me is a bit of a drive away and the Faculty of Education has very little tolerance for absenteeism in their classes. Understandably so, given that the year is severely circumscribed, but still.

Though all the same, I have little doubt I will have time to see them live yet ... they're nowhere near done, by the sounds of their recent stuff.

Can't wait for it... I've purposely stayed away from listening to any of the released songs because it's a concept album (and I'm a Rush nerd), so I want to hear it as it's meant to be heard. I'll be hitting the shows as well... I've only missed one tour since 1980 and that was last year's time machine tour.

Can't wait!!!
