Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
Re: Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
Ok, so we are switching to Palladium for a while...
This week I wont be able to start but I can next week. I want character creation to be done in session if it's at all possible.

Re: Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
I only have the 1E Revised books.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Looks like a trip to the Old World (Warhammer) is in the works...
Re: Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
Going to be using Strike to Stun's forums for this one, since it's Warhammer afterall... here is a link to the thread I started there:

Re: Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
Working with a Veteran this week, so even though I expect to be back in time to play, I thought the same yesterday, and I didn't run my game. So we will see.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Another great game!
P.S. I love my character.

Hey guys:
I don't think I'll make tonight's game. I now have to pick up my wife's aunt and mother at the airport in Edmonton tonight. All in all it's a 5+ hour ordeal.

I hope Rigon let you know last night I won't be able to make it. The wi fi here sucks so bad I'll probably have to try 3 or 4 times to just post this. You can play my character, just don't have him be reckless like Grogi.

And we used... no map.

Re: Greyhawk C&C Game Thread
I enjoyed not using a map; it felt more like a face to face game. We weren't glued to the mapping software and spent more of our attention on visualizing the situation and role-playing. I was reminded of how much fun was had just sitting around the living room and rolling dice on the coffee table. In short, I would like to return to that style of gaming, and only use the dice and verbal descriptions, leaving the mapping to the players if they want to draw them up, to avoid becoming lost and so on, but not making it something mandatory or a focus of the game.
