I am FINALLY having the surgery later today, that I have spent ELEVEN days in the hospital waiting for. So that hopefully means I will be in for only 1 or 2 more days, then home to recover.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I, for one, am happy to hear from you my friend! Sending positive thoughts your way that the surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery!

So, do we continue with Tegal Manor, next week, assuming Rigon runs today, or do you want to transition to giving 5E a try?

Edit: and assuming not too many of you are on the road traveling for the Christmas Holidays.

Tree, I'm good either way, however, I must admit I'm not going to invest in purchasing a 5e PHB any time soon. Between my support ($$$) of C&C and CoC, I don't feel like dropping the coin on a 5e PHB at this time. I do own the 5e Starter Box with its abbreviated rules. Is there a SD for 5e available?

I'm good either way also. And I won't be travelling until the 24th.

WOTC has a "abbreviated", as well as artwork free, version of the rules on their Website. IE all the core rules are there, just stuff is missing from the classes, such as extra Domains for the Clerics, etc...

I will either be creating something from the Basic PDF or playing a pre-gen if any are available; I also am not ready to invest in a 5e book.

I am fine with either one. Our position in the Tegel game is documented and at a point we can pick it up any time I guess.

Probably something from the Basic books is fine with me. I can't very well be sick of any of the standard domains, schools, or archetypes if I have never tried them.

Very tense, well done. Another one of those combats where each decision means gaining something and sacrificing something else. Do I enhance Daithan's Strength so he can take those guys down or do I spend an expensive round positioning for a lightning bolt? Do I throw up a wall of fire and do continuous damage on everyone, including our paladin? Do I do something about those dying all the way across the battlefield or try to take someone out?

Definitely brutal. Daithan needs to find something to improve his chances against poisons.

Rgr that, great game!

I know rump is just an NPC but I was worried ... for him and you all!

Also, talk about frustrating, playing a Paladin that is demoralized - but I'm nudging him to me more heroic - and then seeing you all drop one after another, and then being held before I can do anything to help.

Now if I can keep my internet up and stable for a whole game ... ;)

Guys, I just got the final updated schedule for the new cycles indoc phase (starting this Sunday)

It hasn't happened in the previous 3 years (6 cycles) but this go around I will have to work both Monday evenings.

I hate to do it, especially after asking hat in hand to be allowed to play, but there is no way I'll be able to play until Feb 2nd.

Now to whine a bit ... From the 25th to the 5th of Feb I'll get 1 day off!!!! I'll be smoked and a zombie by the 5th. All because 2 other sections complained they had to work extra (who doesn't during indoc) so my section got extra hours added to our schedule, and the director knows I will do what needs to be done no matter what so I got the lions share of the extra extra time ... It makes me twitch just thinking about it!!!! Ok enough whining

Again sorry I'll miss the next 2 weeks. Good luck in the manor and remember against high level undead, "RUN AWAY" is an option!

Thanks, its appreciated!

That said, after the last combat, you really think you'll clear the manor in 2 weeks ! If so, You'll need to avoid hold person and poison touch a lot better than we did Monday !

I am no longer interested in running 5E. Sorry, but playing it has made me lose interest in doing it. Anyone else want to volunteer to run it? You can still take my "slot" to do so.

Hope you all had a better night than I ... 3 cadets kept getting in trouble over and over and over.... and they would get the other cadets to get themselves in trouble too. You'd think they would get tired of me using Ranger Sgt voice with them, inches from their ear, ever 30 min ... Oh well, it will be over this Sunday. See you all nest week
