Anyone Converted Lupins & Rakasta to C&C?

Post by Brutorz Bill »

I was wondering if anyone out there has worked up a Character Race conversion of either of these Mystaran Races?

Thanks,

I'd like to see all the Rakasta subraces from the issue of Dragon as well.

I'm not familiar with either of these, but what about them would require conversion? If its 1E/2E based you should be able to use them as is with little to no problem. About the only thing I ever have to worry about is their type of sight. I keep stat changes the same, save bonus I usually keep the same.

Its really easy, usually, to decide if the race would be all physical Prime or all Mental Prime, as a general rule, actual N/PC's vary as needed.

What do you think would be difficult?
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

I've got to agree with Tree, for the most part. If this stuff is a 1E or 2E thing, it can be used practically as-is. If its a 3E thing... it can be converted with little effort, remembering that bonuses in 3E should be halved, or more, for C&C. "Skills" can become "racial abilities" like the way a halfling can hide, even if not a rogue (and you don't even have to give them a bonus to it; simply having the racial ability is bonus enough!)

But, otherwise, no... I've not seen it.

There are three races of humanoid cat-folk in the Wilderlands, which will eventually be released in Wilderlands products (there are a LOT of races in the Wilderlands). These are the liowans (lion-like), urasti (tiger-like), and neamua (domestic cat-like). I've posted a preview of the liowans in the Judges Keep, below... note that it is still in development.

Would you mind posting the link to the Liowan? I call myself looking, but haven't found them yet.

Thanks!

Rakasta and Lupins? Those are Basic/expert D&D critters. Conversion should be easy if you have the right mods (see B and X series).
