Snakes on a Dungeon

It was a great session, despite being down two players. The wizard got the session bonus xp for his continual bravery (foolhardiness) by charing into melee combat.

What's interesting for me as a CK was the group reaction to what they wanted to do next. Loaded up on cash and flush with victory, the group actually wants to not jump right back into dungeon crawling but perhaps consider getting involved with local politics, or even operating an inn or similar establishment. They actually said they wanted to increase the roleplaying end of things, in addition to the action, which is really cool.

Yep, players, at least my players have always tended to get involved in politics and trade. Its why I own Gary's "World" books and Expeditious Retreats Magical Society: Western Europe, and M.S.: Silk Road books.

I think they help me handle things very realisitically. Plus it makes me sick to see how easy it is for the rich to make themselves richer. These books are well researched with very valid books on the subject matter. Joe Browning (Expeditious Retreat) gives a full listing of all the books he used for his research, and several of those books make for very interesting reading on their own.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

As a quick side note, I've discovered a typo in the M&T (don't know if it is listed elsewhere, but the staff of evocation is listed as having an EXP value of 788, not 7880.
