now we played in stephen kings deadlands world with paladins being gunslingers. that was cool as well.
Rgr on that being a great setting ... I can't wait till I finish my capstone next week, I have the last 3 of those books to read (and a friend here at TYA tempts me with dropping hints on the books each time he is stationed in my classroom)

I'm also slowly working on a homebrew setting, Terra Penumbra, so that should get mention.
Of course my home brew is one I love, but a dice has never been rolled in it sooooo I can't count it.

Yeah, if I guess we are expanding the list from fantasy (Can of worms) then I'd have to add...
Everway (Whoops! This is a fantasy world that I forgot the first time around.)
Nobilis (Kind'a in the fantasy genre.)

Back in the early D20 days I remember an ad in Dragon for a version of Harn called Harn DE that was D20 compatible and had some digital extras on the disc. After doing searches on it I never could find it which leads me to think it never was developed. I was interested in seeing this but I guess it was not to be.

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

I love stealing from it, so I am sure if I ever bothered to actually use it I would move it to the top of my list.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I have been using a homebrew setting for over 30 years and see no need to abandon it
I own several published settings, though
Greyhawk and Harn are my favorites and I have stolen ideas from both settings. The Arden setting for 1st edition C&S is still one of the best I've seen though. It forms the basis of my homebrew setting.
I've expanded the maps from the original set (which included only the one kingdom) to cover all the neighboring realms and developed several dozen major NPCs..
