My DCC try out game.

Post by Treebore »

Finally got to give DCC a try with 4 players with me as GM. I started them all at 0 level, using PC's I generated using a 0 level PC generator I got off line. I had everyone choose 4 PC's each for the "funnel".

Anyways, just over 2 hours in one of my players says something like, "Tree, can we just play C&C?"

I reply, "Huh? Whats the matter?"

"Rolling on all these various tables is driving me nuts."

Another player speaks up, "Yeah, I'm not liking these tables either."

Third and 4th players speak up, "Me neither." "Yeah, I don't like them either."

Second player says, "Yeah, lets just play C&C."

I respond, "Ummm... OK, sure. Lets go back to C&C."

I myself thought the tables were fun, but hey, gotta go with what the players want to do when its a reasonable request. So C&C it was.

Guess I will have to find a DCC game on line some time.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

Sorry to hear that. I've only flipped through the main book, but I don't own it. My post-divorce budget is super tight, so it isn't likely. I love all of the retro interior art, and Doug Kovacs' module covers are awesome. I spoke with him at Gary Con last year. As many of you know, he did the cover for the original Codex of Erde. Can't wait to see it again on the new Codex of Aihrde. Stephen owns the original art as I recall.

Interesting. I was just glancing through DCC last night. It is one of those games I'd love to try out at some point. Keep us posted if you intend to run a game online. I'd be in for at least a one shot might find some others interested as well.
