Skullkickers
Anyone reading that comic-book?
Re: Skullkickers
I bought the little micro-expansion for the Munchkin card game. That's about all I'll do.
Re: Skullkickers
I have no idea what it even is.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Very violent silly team of adventurers you can follow as a Webcomic or in the dead tree version.

I too first heard of them through Steve Jackson Games when they decided to make a booster pack based on SkullKickers for Munchkin, which you can find here:

Here is the link to the web-comic:Skullkickers, a fantasy-comedy comic series being published by Image Comics that launched in September 2010.
Two hard-headed mercenaries kill monsters and cause havoc in their search for money, fame and adventure.
If you love fantasy, action-comedy, a touch of black-hearted violence and movies like Army of Darkness, then Skullkickers is the book for you!

Re: Skullkickers
I've read the trade paperback editions released thus far. If I recall correctly, the characters and story are very directly inspired from fantasy gaming by the author (Second edition AD&D, I think was the setting mentioned). It's fun and certainly full of the Monty Haul-ism that creeps into campaigns.

The writer's use of fae is hilarious.
Re: Skullkickers
Sounds like I'd enjoy it. I'll have to hunt down the Munchkin pack.

Re: Skullkickers
It actually makes me think of Pathfinder because Baldy uses guns, so I automatically think of the Gunslinger class from Ultimate Combat... But AD&D 2nd edition did have optional rules for firearms, so that's just me.Litzen Tallister wrote:I've read the trade paperback editions released thus far.
