[Kickstarter] BASH! Product: Awesome Powers

Post by BASHMAN »

For immediate release:

Basic Action Games has launched a BASH! Awesome Powers Power Suites KickstarterProject.

Now that Awesome Powers Volume 1 is out, we are looking to fund future volumes. We decided to leave which new volumes would be released first up to you!

For those unfamiliar, Awesome Powers is the super powered supplement to BASH! Ultimate Edition super heroic RPG system (a 2010 ENnie nominee for Best Rules). Each volume will feature:

--Dozens of new powers for BASH! Ultimate Edition, completely built and organized by themes, called “Power Suites”. Each volume will contain at least two Power Suites. (Volume 1 contained six Power Suites)

--New power Enhancements and Limitations

--New Advantages and Disadvantages

--Random character creation rules, customized for each Power Suite

--Sample characters

Our initial funding goal was just $300 to create four more volumes in PDF form. We have surpassed that amount, made stretch goals activate, allowing us to extend the line to fifteen volumes of Awesome Powers. But right now the prize most BASH! Fans have their eyes upon is a print run, which unlocks at the $2,000 level. Beyond that, there are more stretch goals, including expanding the line and the printed compilation.

If you are interested in BASH! or this Kickstarter, or know someone who might be, check it out here:

OK, did it.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Update: 2 more backer rewards added: $10 lets you add a new power to the set. $100 gets your character on the cover, and as a sample character.

We're within $100 of $2500 Stretch Goal: BASH! Awesome Powers Kickstarter adding a lot of character content. And keep your eyes on the $3,000 prize: because we expand the set to 17 Volumes (40 Power Suites) at that level.

The BASH! Awesome Powers Kickstarter is still going strong! It's a sprint into the final two weeks!

By request, unlimited tiers for physical books have opened up. See the "Second Chance" $40 Tier and the "Second CHance to Double The Power" $60 Tier. Also $30 "Need BASH? Get BASH!" tier is unlimited for Color 2nd Printing of BASH! UE.

Other Updates

We're just over $250 away from expanding the set bigtime from 35 Suites to 40 Power Suites. Only 2 weeks left to pledge! Find it Here!

We also recently did a Q&A at #rpgnet (see it Here) but if anybody has more questions, please ask away!

Is there a hard cover option for the full color Bash UE? I already have a soft cover.

Not at present; the production cost was quite high making it full color; adding hardcover would have made the price too high for too many people. Someday I can see making a "Premium" edition with all the bells and whistles like that as a very limited release for those who are interested in it, though.
