I can tell I'm getting old...

Post by capmarvel »

Got the Players Handbook in the mail today and flipped through it....and my first reaction was "Damn that's a small font, going to have to use my reading glasses."

At least you don't forget that you HAVE reading glasses. :)

No kidding! Ever since I hit 40 I've needed glasses to read.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I'm sure I'll need glasses for night time driving one of these days, but at 42 I can still read with no problem. :-)

Enjoy no reading glasses. Those cornias will freeze up eventually and then you will find reading glasses a great blessing.

I've had astigmatism since I was very little (probably since my birth) and have never had a problem seeing things with corrective lenses. I can still see perfectly when I'm out and about. It is when I try to read that I now have to hold the book/eReader about a 30 cm away, maybe a little more.

I'm a avid reader and this is really putting a dent in the amount I can read. I figure it is bifocals for me. Reading things on the net and my forth coming tablet is not going to help my situation. I just have to get off my ass and do something about it.

Admiral Kirk wore reading glasses in Star Trek II. If it's good enough for Shatner, it's good enough for you guys. Haha

When you're kicking yourself off your own lawn, you're too damn old.
