I need an opinion on a location in Aihrde. There is a castle called Eire, just inside the Gelderland, along the border with Maine. Is there any information this? The codex states that there are brigand outposts and coastal settlements, even a few inland, but it is controlled by orcs.
What id Eire was a castle built by a fairly newly endowed noble (by the crown of Maine)? Or should this be a border outpost controlled by orcs?

Re: Aihrde Development
I'm not super familiar with the Aihrde setting, but maybe it would be cool to have this castle be a contested holding that has traded hands multiple times in the last couple of years (first to the orcs, then to a bandit lord, then back to the local Lord/King/Margrave/whatever, now back to the orcs) make that a hook for why the players would want to go there and help tip the scales (whichever way).
Maybe there is some "official" game state presented in the source book, but ultimately it should fit your game no?

Re: Aihrde Development
I was going to use it as an outpost for the PC's to use as a home base as they made forays into the Gelderlands to retrieve some lost relics from the Winter Dark Wars. In this case I was going to place Lord Chardonnay over the keep. He is new noble granted title if he can hold the area. The idea is to decrease the amount of raids the orcs make this close to the border. I do like the idea of it changing hands though.

- 1) Did your Lord receive it as part of a marriage?
- 2) Was this awarded by an older sibling/relation to set him up to fail?
- 3) Did another noble house lose the fiefdom as a result of intrigue, pacts with dark powers, etc.
